EDUCATION RESOURCES The most popular formal degree program in human-computer interaction (HCI) is a Masters of Science in HCI. Some graduate schools also offer a Bachelors or Masters in another field, such as computer science or information science, with a concentration in HCI. Some schools also offer degrees in communication that incorporate usability and interface design into their syllabi. OTHER HCI RESOURCES The Association for Computing Machinery's Special Interest Group in Human-Computer Interaction (SIGCHI) hosts one major conference a year called SIGCHI and several smaller conferences for specialized topics within HCI. In addition, other organizations such as the Usability Professionals Association also host annual conferences. There are also educational programs in HCI around the world as well as several print and web publications on HCI. |
